Priyanka Shetty, the product manager for YouNoodle, recently wrote a piece for TechCrunch that offers advice for women who want to be successful in development and engineering careers. Shetty holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and a master’s in computer science, and she has worked in Silicon Valley for a number of years. She offers the following advice to other women who want to pursue technical careers:
- Focus on what you love doing.
- Find a workplace that facilitates growth for women and emphasizes work/life balance.
- Find a mentor ? or two or three.
- Be yourself.
- If someone is treating you unprofessionally (man or woman), change the situation.
