IBM has launched a Watson Application Developer Certification Program that will help identify developers who have the skills to build applications based on the Watson cognitive computing platform. “We want to make it even easier for developers to learn how to build and deploy cognitive applications—and even more importantly, to distinguish themselves for having developed these critical skills,” blogged Steve Abrams, IBM’s vice president of Watson Developer Advocacy.
In order to acquire the certification, developers will need to score at least 70 percent on a 105-minute test with 64 questions covering the IBM Bluemix cloud development platform, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, RESTful APIs and cognitive computing. Developers can take the exam at any Pearson VUE test center, and IBM has published a number of resources designed to help developers prepare for the exam.
