Intel has announced a wide-ranging Internet of Things (IoT) platform to compete with offerings from rival ARM. The platform includes a variety of hardware components, software and services, including products from Intel’s Wind River and McAfee divisions.
“By simplifying the development process and making it easier to deploy new solutions that address market needs, we can help accelerate innovation,” said Doug Davis, general manager of Intel’s IoT group.
The platform includes an updated IoT gateway that will go on sale next year.
