Jelastic has announced that its popular platform as a service (PaaS) will now support the NetBeans IDE. I has released a plug-in which makes it possible to interact with code hosted on Jelastic from within Netbeans.
“NetBeans IDE optimizes Java and PHP development, and has so many great features such as Java EE support, high-quality code editors, version control tools and an intuitive UI,” said Jelastic COO Dmitry Sotnikov. “Now, NetBeans IDE users have the ability to work with their Jelastic hosting, without having to ever leave their favorite development environment.”
Jelastic already supported other popular Java IDEs like Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA. In addition, it works with other development tools like Maven, Ant, Hudson and Jenkins.
