New Lower Pricing for Microsoft Visual Studio Online, Team Foundation Server

Microsoft has announced some changes to its pricing models for Microsoft Visual Studio Online and Team Foundation Server. Most users should see lower costs as a result. The changes include the following:

  • The elimination of per-processor or other per-deployment environment release-management charges.
  • Free access to Microsoft Test Hub for Visual Studio Online Basic users.
  • New tiered pricing for cloud load testing that includes 20,000 free virtual user minutes per month.
  • Tiered pricing for Visual Studio Online Build Service and Load Test, including one free hour per month.
  • The elimination of the 10-user limit for Visual Studio Online Professional.
