Oracle has released version 2.0.0 of its JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET). For the first time, the toolkit will be available under an open source license. It is also adding features that make it suitable for hybrid mobile development and new data visualization capabilities. In addition, it supports popular JavaScript libraries like jQuery, jQuery UI, Knockout, RequireJS and Hammer.
“The aim of Oracle JET is to provide a stable basis for intermediate to advanced JavaScript developers to efficiently visualize data in the cloud,” blogged Geertjan Wielenga, principal product manager in the Oracle tools group.
