According to a new report from Crittercism, 42 percent of mobile apps crash more than 1 percent of the time, and 32 percent crash more than 2 percent of the time. That means the mobile development industry has a ways to go to catch up with Web development, where 99 percent uptime is the norm.
The report also found that games are the category of app most likely to crash, while e-commerce apps were the least likely to do so. Android apps were less likely to crash than iOS apps.
