A new report from 451 Research says that OpenStack cloud computing software generated $1.2 billion in revenue in 2015. It forecasts that the market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31 percent to reach $3.37 billion by 2018.
The report also included survey data which indicated that security was enterprises’ number one pain point in regards to cloud computing, with 55 percent saying that security significantly affected their cloud adoption. In addition, it found that organizations spend 70 percent of their cloud computing budgets on things other than infrastructure.
