Salesforce is tying together its two cloud development platforms: Heroku, which is targeted at startups and mobile development shops, and Force.com, which is more for enterprise application development teams. Both are part of its “Salesforce1 Heroku Connect” offering, which is now generally available.
The company says the new integration gives developers a one-stop shop for creating applications. It should also help them build more customer-connected apps and tie their mobile applications to their business processes and data.
