SAP Releases HANA Development Tools

SAP has released River, a hosted real-time development environment and coding language for its HANA in-memory platform. It also announced that “key portions” of the SAPUI5 development tools are now available under an open source license on GitHub, as is a HANA service broker for the Cloud Foundry cloud development platform.

SAP CTO Vishal Sikka called the release of the tools a key first step to “simplifying the experience of application development.” He added that the releases “strengthen our commitment to the developer community.”
