Pelikan Mobility Raises €4M for Business EV Transition

"Mobility Transition"

French startup, Pelikan Mobility, has successfully raised €4 million in seed funding to aid businesses transition from diesel to electric vehicles(EVs). The funding includes notable investors such as Pale Blue Dot and Seedcamp.

Pelikan’s revolutionary software simplifies fleet management for businesses during the electric transformation. It optimizes vehicle usage, streamlines route planning & scheduling, and provides smart charging solutions to overcome common EV issues.

The platform factors in the range constraints of EVs. Through unique algorithms, the software identifies optimal routes that maximize distance and minimize energy consumption, ensuring effective adaptation of businesses to new operational circumstances.

Pelikan’s software also reduces the initial investment needed for EV transition. It offers data analytics and forecasting, to make educated decisions regarding business costs, presenting a clear picture of the total cost of ownership.

The CEO of Pelikan, Vincent Schachter, states that the software aims to cater to the growing demands of EV fleet companies. The platform integrates data from each EV in a fleet, providing insights to enhance performance and implement predictive maintenance schedules.

Schachter is confident that the platform will prove invaluable in the rising trend of electric vehicles. The platform takes into account various EV factors when providing optimization scenarios and presents a combined cost map for each vehicle, offering actionable insights.

Pelikan offers long-term leasing contracts specifically designed for the extended lifespan of EVs. These contracts, flexible and adaptable based on business requirements, make the transition to EVs an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution.

The company plans to unveil its leasing plans in the upcoming summer, initially for its larger clientele. Currently managing about 100,000 vehicles for seven clients, Pelikan’s ultimate goal is to smooth the transition to EVs using their unique blend of software and finance strategies.
