Closing DOS Window When Completed

Question:
I have a real problem that in windows 95 when a dos shell is finished it does not close. I use these dos shells when interfacing to old equipment that needs dos commands such as old cash drawers and when I need to use pkzip to zip files. How can I get the dos shell to close when I am done with it?

Answer:
Try this:

Shell “COMMAND.COM /C PROGRAM.EXE”
Putting the /C option onto COMMAND.COM will shut the window when PROGRAM.EXE (or other executable file) completes.
