VBScript and Time Control

Question:
Is it possible to let the browser automatically turn off when it is left idle for certain period of time using like VBScript and ActiveX? For example, there isn’t any mouse movement on the browser, then after certain period of time, the browser turn it off automatically.

Answer:
The InternetExplorer object has a Quit method, which will cause it to shutdown. In your timer control’s Timer event (which is called when the time interval elapses), call InternetExplorer.Quit to shut down the browser. You should be careful with this method, since most people aren’t aware that it exists. If their browser suddenly shuts down, many users will consider it an error or a problem.
