Commenting Code Automatically

Commenting Code Automatically

Question:
I feel dumb.Is there a way to block comment code in VB?I searched high and low for the answer, but it has escaped me.

Answer:
Don’t feel dumb…this was dumb on Microsoft’s part. The Comment Block andUncomment Block are not included on the Edit menu by default. However, youcan edit your Edit menu by following these steps:

  • Right-click the menu bar and select Customize from the popup menu.
  • In the window that appears, select the Edit menu.
  • On the right hand side of the window, scroll down until you see theComment Block choice.
  • Drag it up to the Edit menu and put it in the place you want.
  • Repeat the procedure for the Uncomment Block choice.I don’t know why they didn’t include all the choices, but at least theygive you a way to change the menus and toolbars to your liking.
