Counting Work Days

Question:
I need to calculate the number of workingdays. Is there an easy way to do this?

Answer:
From what I can see, there is no built-in function to do this. However, you can very easily write the code to do this. By using the DateDiff, DateAdd, and Weekday functions, you can determine how many days there are between two dates and how many of them are weekdays. The code here shows you how to do it.

Dim i As IntegerDim iDay As IntegerDim iDayCount As IntegerFor i = 0 To DateDiff(“d”, “12-1-97”, “12-15-97”) – 1 iDay = WeekDay(DateAdd(“d”, i, “12-1-97”)) If iDay <> vbSunday And iDay <> vbSaturday Then iDayCount = iDayCount + 1 End IfNext i
