MFC applications

Question:
I have no experience with MFC applications, and I am wondering if there is a URL that gives very basic samples of code for applications. I can’t even figure out how to display a message in the window. I am, however, experienced at programming in DOS apps, so I am experienced with C++.

Answer:
The best way to get started, in my opinion, is to use AppWizard to create a skeleton application and then review the code.

I would also recomend any of a number of available VC++ books for those just getting started.

Once you get beyond that, you are really getting beyond the basics and the best place to look will depend on exactly what you want to do.
