OLEAUT32 and Y2K

Question:
I have heard that the two-year date cutoff for oleaut32.dll is user-definable. By this I mean that you can set oleaut32 to recognize “80” as 2080 instead of 1980. Unfortunately I have not found out how to do this.

Answer:
Yes, if you have both Win98 and the OLEAUT32 that came with Visual Studio 6.0 (2.30.xxxx), then there will be an extra entry in the Regional Settings control panel applet under Dates.
