Question:
What are frames used for?
Answer:
Frames came on the scene a few years ago as a way to display information from more than one HTML page at once. Frames can be a mixed blessing if not coded properly. It can be difficult to coordinate the various frames in the window and not all browsers support frames (though most major browsers do). If done correctly, frames enable you to present a lot of information in minimal space. The effect can be similar to an explorer-type view with major topics displayed on the left and details on the right side of the screen.
