Data Corruption

Question:
I have a table where after an import from an ASCII, I see some funny characters in some fields. After using asc(), I show that the characters where the chr(0). In the same table, when I delete some records and then give rebuild indexes, I get the memo coruption or missing message. How do I solve the problem?

Answer:
After importing, you could SCAN the table and use the STRTRAN function to remove CHR(0) from the fields. For example:

USE IMPORTED_TABLESCAN REPLACE ALL cName WITH STRTRAN(cName,CHR(0),"")
