Insert Trigger on Parent Table

Question:
I have two tables and both tables have a one-to-many relationship. I want to add a new single record in the first “transheader” table (key is autonumber) and get the autonumber to add into the second table which is “transbody” (multiple records).

What is the best way to do this?

Answer:
It sounds like what you want is an insert trigger on the parent table that will insert a record into the child table every time a parent is created using the newly created parent ID.
