Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 DTS and Informix

Question:
I’m curious if you or anyone else has successfully created a data warehouse in SQL Server 7.0, using DTS to import/extract info from Informix, running Elite time/billing application?

Answer:
Haven’t seen it, but it should be workable. SQL 7.0 is a good database and has very sophisticated ROLAP analysis capability. I have had a client extract from S2 Systems’ CRM:2000 package into a SQL 7.0 database for ROLAP. Worked like a charm. I’m not sure about DTS. My client used ODBC to connect the two databases.
