Visual Studio 2013 Gets Better Exception Reporting

It should become easier to find errors in C++ apps.

Application Security Testing: An Integral Part of DevOps

Among the many improvements in Windows 8.1 and Visual Studio 2013 is improved exception reporting. InfoQ's Anand Narayanaswamy writes, "While Windows 8.1 adds support for capturing stack traces for exceptions as they are reported in Windows Runtime components, Visual Studio 2013 debugger provides an ability to display captured stack traces on exception objects that are derived from Platform::Exception."

The improvements will make it easier for developers writing Windows Store apps in C++ to find and fix bugs. The article linked below explains how to use the new features.
