The Apple Watch Series 10 introduces subtle but impactful changes. It is more comfortable to wear due to its thinner and lighter body and larger screen. The Series 10 is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes.

It shaves off 1mm in thickness and 2 grams in weight compared to previous models. This makes it easier to slide under shirt cuffs and reduces movement during exercise. The screens on both sizes are up to 9% larger than the previous three generations.

This means more legible text and larger on-screen buttons. The screen on the 46mm version is now the largest fitted to an Apple Watch. It is also brighter, improving visibility when viewed from an angle.

The Series 10 lasts about 48 hours of continual wear without including exercise. When it needs a charge, it hits up to 80% in just 30 minutes. It reaches full power in under an hour, making top-ups convenient.

Running on watchOS 11, the Series 10 introduces new smart stack widgets and an expanded double-tap gesture for easier navigation. New apps like Translate and Tides enhance its utility. It also has a depth gauge and water temperature sensor for water activities up to 6 meters deep.

Subtle refinements enhance Series 10

Sleep health is a focus with new features like sleep apnea detection. This analyzes night breathing disturbances and health metrics, alerting users to any significant changes.

The back of the watch is now made of metal instead of ceramic. Apple claims the battery should retain at least 80% of its capacity over time. The Series 10 also includes more than 30% recycled materials, emphasizing Apple’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Apple offers trade-in and free recycling options for all devices. While not a revolutionary redesign, the Apple Watch Series 10 is subtly more refined. Its slimmer profile, larger screen, and reduced weight improve day-to-day usability.

Users upgrading from older models like the Series 5 or 6 will notice the improvements the most. The Apple Watch Series 10 remains a top choice for iPhone users. It boasts features like an always-on display, excellent haptic vibrations, double-tap gestures, robust health tracking, and fast charging.

Users can also reuse older watch straps, adding to its value. However, it is premium-priced and exclusively compatible with iPhones. It also lacks third-party watch faces.

Though it looks similar to recent models, its incremental improvements keep it at the forefront of smartwatch technology.
