OpenShift Improves Java Support

RedHat has announced that its OpenShift platform as a service (PaaS) now offers support for the “full Java lifecycle for developers.” Specifically, the company is integrating OpenShift with its JBoss Tools and adding support for Maven and Jenkins. The goal is to allow Java developers to do everything “in the cloud”: code, build, and scale.

Currently OpenShift is a public beta, free for most uses. In addition to Java, the cloud development platform also supports PHP, Python, Ruby.
