Red Hat Adds Support for Google App Engine

Red Hat has announced that it now supports Google App Engine under its “bring your own subscription” plan. Red Hat allows organizations that already pay for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to move their RHEL deployment to any public cloud computing provider approved by Red Hat. Google App Engine is now on the approved list.

“Red Hat’s announcement is a great vote of confidence for Google Cloud Platform as an enterprise grade place for customers to develop and deploy their applications,” said Martin Buhr, product manager for the Google Cloud Platform. “Many customers have requested the ability to deploy RHEL on GCE [Google Compute Engine], and we are excited to be only the second cloud provider included in this program.”
