Elon Musk faced a barrage of insults and mockery during a recent gaming livestream from his private jet. The billionaire CEO was attempting to test SpaceX’s Starlink internet service while playing the action RPG “Path of Exile 2.”

Shortly after starting the stream, Musk was inundated with disparaging messages from other players. Comments ranged from personal attacks on his appearance and relationships to jabs at his gaming skills.

One persistent troll, pretending to be conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair, demanded child support from Musk in the game’s chat. Others referenced his estranged daughter, Vivian Wilson, who had previously mocked his gaming abilities in an interview.

Despite attempts to manage the trolls by muting spammers, the relentless criticism continued.

Gaming stream mockery

Musk appeared visibly rattled by the comments but did little to defend himself.

The situation worsened as Musk repeatedly died to the game’s first boss. After his third death, he abruptly ended the livestream, citing a “lost connection.”

Viewers quickly took to social media to further ridicule Musk, accusing him of rage quitting rather than suffering from technical difficulties. Many noted that he seemed genuinely upset by the trolling, suggesting it was starting to get under his skin.

Critics also commented on Musk’s apparent need for validation, calling it “pathetic” given his age and wealth. The choice to play music by his ex-partner Grimes during the stream was also met with derision. The gaming livestream turned into an unexpected debacle, displaying a side of Musk that seemed vulnerable to online criticism.

Despite his significant achievements, the event highlighted potential cracks in his usually confident exterior.
