Six One Indie has launched its own publishing label called Six One Indie Publishing. The label aims to provide comprehensive support to indie developers in areas such as launch strategy, media relations, showcase integration, QA testing, and localization. The number of games hitting the market grows by the day, but unfortunately, the people to cover and amplify them seem to dwindle just as fast,” said Six One Indie creative director Mike Towndrow.

Six One Indie has evolved into an ecosystem that can now offer a unique opportunity to get indies in front of players through fresh, unconventional means.

Towndrow emphasized that the label is built for the new wave of indie, where passion, connection, and creative control are prioritized. “Indies deserve more than a checklist, they deserve a major push backed by authenticity, genuine enthusiasm, and a new approach for an unpredictable industry,” he added. Six One Indie, founded in 2018, made its first showcase debut in 2022.

With the launch of its publishing label, the organization strengthens its commitment to the indie game community by providing necessary resources and innovative strategies to help indie developers succeed in a competitive market.

Supporting indie game developers

The Six One Indie Showcase returned with over an hour of indie love and more than 40 games to highlight.

The showcase featured world premieres, new reveals, and trailers, including a vinyl and board game announcement. Some notable games showcased include Truth Scrapper, an idyllic narrative adventure about memories and scrapbooking, and Shadows of Chroma Tower, a first-person fantasy dungeon crawler with a nostalgic art style. Other games featured cozy adventures, music rhythm games, vehicular madness, and unique titles like Glitchspankr and Guilty As Sock.

New releases this week include Deliver At All Costs, an action game set in the 1950s, Lynked: Banner of the Spark, a co-op action RPG, and Tales of Seikyu, a yokai fantasy life sim. Other notable mentions include The Wandering Village, Teardown Expansion – The Greenwash Gambit, and Artis Impact.
