Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGSCB), Cyberabad police, and the Society For Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) are organizing a two-day conclave, ‘SHIELD 25, starting on Tuesday. The summit will focus on how criminals exploit Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the techniques law enforcement agencies (LEA) are developing to counter such threats. Keynote speakers at the event include Rajesh Kumar, IPS, CEO of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C); Bhuwan Ribhu, founder of Just Rights for Children; and Dr.
RS Sharma is an independent director and senior IAS officer. Rajesh Kumar leads the I4C, which the Ministry of Home Affairs established to create a coordinated framework for dealing with cybercrimes comprehensively. Dr. RS Sharma has influenced India’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) policies and is well-known for spearheading Aadhaar, the world’s most extensive biometric identity system.
Bhuwan Ribhu, a renowned legal expert and activist, has significantly impacted policies concerning child protection, anti-trafficking, and women’s rights in India. His work has influenced landmark Supreme Court rulings and critical laws like POCSO and the Child Labour Amendment Act. At SHIELD 2025, Ribhu will address ‘AI-Generated CSEAM and Innovation in Policing,’ uncovering how AI is exploited for criminal activities and the innovative strategies developed to combat these threats.
Cyber security threats and AI
The event will feature 40 speakers in 15 sessions, 10 panels, and 5 workshops. Key topics to be discussed include child and women’s safety, AI-driven security, and cybercrime prevention.
Predictive policing and AI’s role in law enforcement will also be thoroughly examined. The summit will showcase cutting-edge technologies in its Technology Experience Zone. Innovations such as AI-powered cybersecurity, Next-Gen Malware Protection, Advanced Email Encryption, AI-driven passwordless Authentication, Payment Fraud Protection, Facial Recognition, and State-of-the-Art Digital Forensic Tools will be featured.
Other focal points for SHIELD 2025 include Ransomware and Cryptocurrency, Deepfakes and social media, Cyber Resilience for MSMEs, Decoding Nation-State Actors, Protecting Women in the Digital Age, and strategies for securing the supply chain. Sessions will also tackle Combatting CSEAM and internet-based scams. One of the main attractions will be a Humanoid Robo, an AI-powered interactive machine engaging with delegates.
Additionally, organizations specializing in Red-Teaming and Blue-Teaming will conduct live cyberattack simulations, demonstrating real-world scenarios and defense strategies. SHIELD 2025 aims to enhance digital safety by bringing together leaders from technology, law enforcement, and policy to tackle evolving cyber threats.
