According to a Quantcast mobile trends report, mobile web activity in the U.S. grew 110 percent during 2009.
Apple’s App Store was a huge part of that growth, with 65 percent of the market share and 3 billion downloads.
Application developers report brisk numbers themselves, with Gameloft claiming 10 million paid downloads, and Lima Sky saying that Doodle Jump was downloaded 500,000 times in December alone.
