Gild, a career website for developers and engineers, has announced that it now has half a million members from more than 174 countries. The site, which launched last year, takes a unique approach to job search by allowing companies to post puzzles and programming games on the site. Potential job candidates complete the games at the site and are ranked based on their performance. Since Gild’s debut, members have completed more than 1 million of these skills tests.
The site has also announced a new feature called “Face-Offs” which allows two developers to compete against each other directly.
