VMware Brings Hadoop Integration to Spring

VMware has announced the release of Spring Hadoop, a new application development tool that integrates Hadoop into the Spring Framework. “Spring Hadoop was created to make it more straightforward for enterprise Java developers to use Apache Hadoop,” explained VMware’s Adam Fitzgerald. The new software allows developers to perform Hadoop MapReduce queries from Spring and to trigger events based on Hadoop.

Spring Hadoop is available under an open source license and can be downloaded from springsource.org.
