Amazon CloudFront Streams Content to iOS and Silverlight

Amazon has announced that its CloudFront Web service now allows developers to stream content to iPhones, iPads and any device running Microsoft Silverlight. Called “Live Smooth Streaming,” the new feature includes management capabilities that prevent stuttering, buffering or freezing on streaming content.

Pricing for the cloud computing service depend on a number of factors, including regional data transfer, the number of HTTP requests and the number of invalidation requests. In the U.S. the first 10TB costs $0.12 per gigabyte, and the next 40TB costs $0.08 per gigabyte.
