Azure Adds Features to Attract Mobile Development

Microsoft appears to be making a new push to convince mobile developers to use its Azure cloud computing service. In a new blog post, the company’s Nick Harris reviews the improvements Windows Azure Mobile Services received throughout 2012. Those improvements include the new Windows Azure Store, a new scheduler, push notifications, structured storage, international availability and SDKs for Windows Store, Windows Phone 8 and iOS apps. Azure also provides educational resources for developers, including video tutorials about Azure Mobile services and code snippets.

To make the service even more appealing, Microsoft is also currently offering mobile developers a free 90-day trial of ten different Windows Azure Mobile Services.
