Microsoft has sent out invitations to an enterprise technology preview of the next version of Windows, codenamed Threshold. The invitations ask attendees to “join us to hear what’s next for Windows and the enterprise” on September 30 in San Francisco.
Unnamed sources tell ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley that the event will focus on changes to the desktop version of Windows and won’t mention all of the planned features in the new operating system. The company has scheduled the release of Windows Threshold in the spring of next year.
