Microsoft to Invest in Cloud Computing, Machine Learning Startups

Microsoft is reorganizing its venture capital arms. The group called Microsoft Ventures, which was part of the Developer Evangelism team, has been renamed Microsoft Accelerator, and it will continue with its previous work.

The company is also making a new group that will invest in cloud computing, security and machine learning startups. Somewhat confusingly, this new group will now be called Microsoft Ventures. This new team will have offices in San Francisco area, Seattle, New York City and Tel Aviv, and it plans to open more offices in other areas.
