According to Microsoft, developers who are part of its Insider program will receive a preview version of the Windows 10 software development kit (SDK) before the end of June. The company plans to update the preview frequently. It blogged, “Our goal is to release a Windows 10 SDK preview that corresponds to OS flights delivered through the Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Ring.”
Windows 10 will run apps created for Windows 8.1, but Microsoft suggests that developers test their code for the new operating system. The company plans to start releasing Windows 10 for PCs and tablets on July 29 with Windows 10 Mobile for phones arriving in the fall.
