Q: How do I become a DevX author?
A: DevX is always looking for knowledgeable, talented freelancers to contribute feature articles, how-to articles, and trend analysis. Payment varies depending on topic and experience.
If you have an idea for an article and think we’d be interested in purchasing it, you should write up a short (one to five paragraph) abstract of your idea and submit it via email to one of our editors. It is also a good idea to download the DevX Author Guide and read it before contacting any DevX editor. Please do not send full manuscripts unless you have already been in touch with an editor, who has requested to spec the manuscript. When you send your abstract, it would help us to know what type of application developer the article will be of use to and to get an approximation of its final length (in words). You should also include either a resume or an informal appraisal of your technical qualifications as well as links or clips of previously published technology articles, if available.

Q: How do I submit a Press Release for editorial consideration?
A: If you have a press release, product announcement, or other market news that you think our editors would be interested in receiving for informational or review purposes, please send it via email to the appropriate editor.
