Determine What Permissions the User Has on the System

You can find out what Permissions the current user has with the Security and Security.Permissions namespaces as in the following example which determines whether or not the user has certain permissions on the computer:

using System;using System.Collections.Generic;using System.Text;using System.Drawing;using System.Drawing.Printing;using System.Security;using System.Security.Permissions;namespace ListPermissions{class Program{static void Main(string[] args){UserPerm(new FileIOPermission(PermissionState.Unrestricted));UserPerm(new EnvironmentPermission(EnvironmentPermissionAccess.Read, "USERNAME"));UserPerm(new FileDialogPermission(FileDialogPermissionAccess.Open));UserPerm(new IsolatedStorageFilePermission(PermissionState.Unrestricted));UserPerm(new ReflectionPermission(ReflectionPermissionFlag.MemberAccess));UserPerm(new UIPermission(UIPermissionWindow.SafeTopLevelWindows));UserPerm(new PrintingPermission(PrintingPermissionLevel.SafePrinting));Console.WriteLine("
Press Enter key to continue");Console.Read();}static private void UserPerm(CodeAccessPermission p){// True or False depending on whether the user has the permissionConsole.WriteLine(p.GetType().ToString() + ": " + SecurityManager.IsGranted(p));}}}
