Using AVIs as Buttons

Using AVIs as Buttons

Browsers Targeted: Internet Explorer 3+

Depending upon your bandwidth availability, you can incorporate AVIs into your Web pages as navigational elements. If you set the dynsrc property of the tag to the URL of the animation file (rather than setting the src attribute), you can play an AVI file or other animated media directly in the Web page. You can also control how many times the animation loops by setting the loop property to the number of repetitions. Note that a loop value of 0 is interpreted to mean that you should play the sequence only once, while a loop value of -1 puts it on an endlessly repeating loop.

Additionally, you can use the start attribute to determine when the animation starts. The default value for start is fileopen
