Monitoring Line Status

Question:
Is there a way to determine when your modem is connected and signed on to an Online Service such as MSN or America Online? I’ve tried using API calls to the comport…i.e. OpenComm, GetCommState, GetCommError, etc. without success. I can determine if the comport is open or closed but this is not in sync with actual connect – disconnect times. Any ideas?

Answer:
What about putting a Timer control on the window to check the modem every so often? The API functions you’re using sound correct…they just won’t notify you.
