Which VB for me?

Which VB for me?

Question:
I wish to create my own Windows program for a kart racing club that we can enter all the drivers for a race meeting, draw a grid for the 1st and 2nd round, print grid sheets, and so on. Most of the clubs use a DOS based program. I want to be able to us it on Win 3.1 and Win 95. Which Visual Basic version do I need?

Answer:
If you want to run on Windows 3.1, you need either Visual Basic 3.0 or Visual Basic 4.0 (16-bit version). I would personally recommend finding a copy of Visual Basic 3.0 since VB 4.0 16-bit is much slower than 3.0. Visual Basic 5.0 does not support 16-bit development.
