Datawindow column sorting

Question:
I am looking for a way to display an arrowin the the “sorted column” heading to indicatethe direction and column sorted. This functionality can be seen in MS-Exchange.

Answer:
This can be implemented in many ways. I’ve done this many times by creating a small key bitmap, one facing up and one facing down. Then when the column is clicked to be sorted, delete the bitmap and create it on the new column. If the column is clicked again, change the bitmap to the upside down version.

You could also use the arrow (borrowed from MS Exchange), or you could use a WingDing type font and see if there is something you could use there.
