Including XML Element in URL

Question:

I have the XML structure:

              ........

I use this segment in an XSL template to create a list of hyperlinks that take me to the product page where [orderno] needs to be inserted at that point from the orderno element.:

How can I insert the orderno element value into the anchor’s HREF attribute?

Answer:

Try this instead (I’m assuming the older Microsoft parsing, not the most recent XSL spec here):

              productPage.html?product=

The attribute node comes in handy because it lets you break the process of outputting the attribute text into XSL sub-tags.
