Seeing Exchange Admin Permissions

Seeing Exchange Admin Permissions

Question:
We use a GG in the NT domain to assign permissions to Exchange Admin. I have added a backup person to this group, thinking that they would then have the same admin permissions as I do, the Exchange admin.

Problem is, they seem to be able to see everything in Exchange Admin except for the Permissions tab on the properties page, which I do see. We run Exchange in its own domain with a trust to a master domain with all the users in the master.

Any clue why these other individuals don’t see all of the tabs?

Answer:
The only thing I can think of, off-hand, is to go back through your Exchange server and make sure that you haven’t, at some level, inadvertently assigned some Admin permissions to yourself instead of the group.
