Either of these methods help make your Web site stand out in crowded favorites and in browsers.
Your logo should be a ICON file (.ico) of 16 x 16 Pixels.
- Save the ICO file with the name favicon.ico in the root directory of the Web site. For example, for www.sms.com, the file should be in www.sms.com/favicon.ico. The Web browser will automatically look for that icon and load it. If it doesn’t work, try adding your favorites and then loading from there. This enables the logo for all pages of that site.
- Save the ICON with any name anywhere inside the Web site directory. Then use the tag to refer to it:
