How to retrieve the Paper Crown

The Closed Exhibit in Blue Prince holds a secret treasure: the Paper Crown. To obtain it, players must navigate a series of puzzles and clues scattered throughout the game. The first step is to unlock the Closed Exhibit by exploring the workspace and supplying power to the machinery in the Boiler Room.

This grants access to higher levels of the rotating gear room, where a window provides the initial clue. Next, players must raise the Reservoir to level 6 by first elevating it to level 11. This allows the boat to cross to the stairs.

At level 6, an underwater tunnel becomes accessible, leading to a map of the Royal Museum. Examining the map with a Magnifying Glass reveals handwritten notes pointing to the Security System Controls behind the Closed Exhibit. To access these controls, the Closed Exhibit must be positioned correctly with an open door leading to it.

Navigating Blue Prince’s hidden secrets

The Security System Controls consist of three buttons: reveal tripwire, lower barrier, and reset alarm system. Players must press the buttons in order, skipping the tripwire, then quickly run back into the Closed Exhibit to grab the Paper Crown before the security system resets.

The Paper Crown allows players to redraw floorplans if there isn’t a red room drawn initially. It is one of multiple crowns available in the game, each associated with different tasks and challenges. Blue Prince offers a unique gaming experience that combines environmental storytelling and puzzle-solving.

Players must explore the mansion, collect clues, and use their wits to uncover its secrets. With randomized puzzles and upgrade disks that alter room mechanics, the game provides a fresh challenge with each playthrough. Developed by Dogubomb and published by Unity, Blue Prince was released on April 10, 2025, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
