The update introduces two unexpected crossovers and significant enhancements to the parkour system. One of the crossovers is with the popular horror game Dead by Daylight.

Players can now take on a special quest in Harima, where they will investigate mysterious disappearances and face a supernatural threat. Completing this quest will unlock a free trinket, banner, and Dead by Daylight-themed items such as outfits and weapons. The other crossover involves the Balatro Trinket, a new item inspired by pop culture references.

This trinket for Naoe and the “Winning Hand” amulet for Yasuke come with a legendary perk that triggers random affliction upon combo enders. The update also brings major improvements to the parkour mechanics based on player feedback. A new vertical jump allows players to grab ledges and overhangs, reducing the need for vertical wall-runs.

The sprint toggle lock now keeps sprint engaged when using Parkour Up or Parkour Down, as long as directional inputs are maintained. Back and side ejects have been enhanced with new animations and improved distance and height.

Photo Mode has been completely revamped with various customization options. Players can change the time of day, use poses and facial expressions, toggle headgear, play music while editing, colorize stickers, add frames, save custom filters, and adjust camera speed. The update also includes numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments.

Persistent new item notifications and inventory issues have been addressed. Saved files erroneously loaded at level 60 have been fixed. Localization issues and quest-related bugs have been resolved.

In this quest, players help a loyal dog avenge his master and unlock Tsuki-maru as a pet for their Hideout.

The Assassin’s Creed Shadows update 1.0.5 is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It brings a host of new content, crossovers, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes to enhance the overall experience for players.
