Analytics firm Distimo says that Apple’s App Store now officially has more than 300,000 apps. About 38,000 of those are for the iPad, and about 7 percent work on both the iPhone and iPad.

In April, the App Store had just under 200,000 apps. Since then, it’s added an average of 5,452 iPad apps and 12,218 iPhone apps per month.

The average iPad app costs about $5, and the average iPhone app costs about $4.
