Cyber Guru, a Rome-based cybersecurity awareness training platform, has raised $25 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Riverside Acceleration Capital, with participation from Educapital SAS and existing investors Adara Ventures SICAR and P101 SGR SpA. Founded in 2017, Cyber Guru offers a modern security awareness training platform designed to increase organizational resistance to cyberattacks by modifying employee behavior.
The platform educates employees to serve as the first line of defense against cyber threats while minimizing the impact on productivity. Gianni Baroni, founder and CEO of Cyber Guru, said, “Our mission is to improve an organization’s resistance to cyberattacks by transforming user behavior. With our proprietary machine learning model and advanced learning methodologies, we’ve built a comprehensive security awareness training platform that effectively manages and reduces human risk.
Cyber Guru secures series B funding
We are now poised to take this vision worldwide.”
Cyber Guru’s platform features three main products: Cyber Guru Awareness, which provides ongoing training on network and digital threats; Cyber Guru Phishing, a program using simulations to teach users how to detect and avoid phishing attacks; and Cyber Guru Channel, which delivers training content through storytelling formats. The training solutions incorporate gamification and micro-learning techniques to engage users effectively, promoting secure digital habits through continuous, interactive learning.
Underpinning these offerings is an AI-powered adaptive machine learning model and behavioral science methodology, creating a holistic and effective training platform that significantly improves an organization’s security posture. Cyber Guru currently supports a million active users across 700 customers in more than 90 countries. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate its artificial intelligence-driven training roadmap, enhance sales and marketing resources, and expand its operations across Europe.
Including the new funding, Cyber Guru has raised $29.38 million to date.
