U.S. and E.U. Approve Microsoft/Yahoo Search Deal: What it Means for Consumers and Developers

After clearing the final regulatory hurdles, the deal that will allow Microsoft’s Bing to power Yahoo searches seems all but sure to go through. Yahoo has posted some information about how the new deal will impact developers, but as ReadWriteWeb notes, “The overall message in Yahoo’s announcement to developers, though, is that the company doesn’t really know what it will do yet.”

For now, it appears that BOSS may have a fee-based structure. SearchMonkey and Yahoo’s Site Explorer are still under review.
